Wirt Wills directed the UNM Archaeological Field School at the Wetherill Homestead in Chaco Canyon in Summer 2012. A crew of 15 conducted excavations and survey, funded by UNM and student fees. Students lived and worked in Chaco Canyon, completed the excavation of the Wetherill’s well, and analyzed artifacts from the well.
