The UNM High Desert Linguistic Society  16th Biennial meeting will take place November 1-3 on the UNM campus. Keynote speakers include Dr. Alicia Beckford Wassnik from the University of Washington, Dr. Erin Wilkinson from the University of New Mexico, and Dr. Esterh Brown from Colorado University (Boulder).  The conference will include in-person and virtual presentstions, posters and panels directly related to the topic, as well as work related to cognitive linguistics, functional linguistics, typology, sociolinguistics, sign language linguistics, discourse analysis, and related fields including anthropology, psychology, sociology and education.
