Genevieve Woodhead, graduate student in Archaeology, has been awarded a GPSA General Priority New Mexico Research Grant for her ceramic petrographic and geochemical analysis addressing an issue of ongoing importance: whether the shift in the technology and forms of decorated ceramics in Chaco Canyon in the 12th century is associated with interaction and/or migration of northern populations. The funding will aid Genevieve in her dissertation research.
