Manny Lopez Ainza Receives Provost Excellence in Advising Award

Manuel (Manny) Lopez Ainza, Senior Academic Advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences Advisement Center, has received the UNM Provost Excellence in Advising for Academic Advisor award. This award granted to staff advisors who have provided extraordinary service to students and the UNM community, and the nominee should demonstrate exemplary achievement in one or more of the following:
- Demonstrates commitment towards the advising profession
- Encourages students to pursue their goals
- Maximizes opportunities relative to students’ educational plans (i.e. provides information on internships, scholarships, lectures, etc.)
- Demonstrates excellence in service and dedication to students
- Contributes to the greater good of the department, college, or University
- Improves a process or system
Manny provides undergraduate advisement to students in the UNM Departments of Anthropology and History. He is housed in the Anthropology department and has been an excellent team member, co-worker and advisor, demonstrating exemplary achievement in all of the categories above. Congratulations Manny!
