My Linh Lucero has been awarded the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF). The fundamental objective of MMUF is to address the problem of underrepresentation in the academy at the level of college and university faculties.  My Linh wrote, "I want to study the effects of having a multicultural background and the effects it has on mental health. An example of different backgrounds could be someone from a more collectivistic culture who lives in America which is more individualistic." With this fellowship she will work with a mentor in her study idea as well as receive funding for the study. She will be also attend conferences for Mellon Mays fellows to talk about her research and hear about other research as well. Learn more
