Professor Emily Jones has received a Research and Creative Works Leader Award from the UNM Provost. These awards were established in 2020 in response to guidance from the Faculty Senate Research Policy committee that called for recognition of extraordinary achievements by UNM faculty in research and creative works.  Candidates are nominated by the Provost’s Advisory Review Committee after they review candidate dossiers, including internal and external evaluator reviews.  The award recognizes candidates who have made signature impacts on their fields of study.
