Sarah Leiter, PhD Candidate in the Sociocultural and Linguistic Anthropology subfield, has been warded Post Doctoral Fellowship at Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies
at the University of Pennsylvania. The fellowship will bring together scholars from across the globe to pursue independent and collaborative projects on the topic “New Frontiers in Contemporary Jewish Life: Cultural Expansions, Encounters, and Experiments.” Sarah’s work during the fellowship will build on her dissertation research on historical consciousness, identification practices, and emergent social groupings among New Mexican descendants of Sephardic Jews.
