UNM Students Sweep SW Association of Biological Anthropologist Conference Awards

Congratulations to UNM students who presented at the annual Southwest Association of Biological Anthropologists' meeting in Las Vegas on November 3. UNM swept the student prizes.
First-year PhD student Megan Cole won the student poster prize for her study of "Biomarkers of cardiac health in sanctuary vs. laboratory living chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes)"
Sarah Phillips-Garcia won the student podium prize for her "Ecoimmunology of wild chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii) from Uganda and Tanzania: does Patr-B genotype or phenotype predict occurrence of respiratory illness".
